Pumptron is different from all other submersible pump controller systems in the world.

The following table shows various of its exclusive features.

UNIQUE ELECTRONIC CHARACTERISTICS

Zero crossing volt detection

Relays open circuit at any time of the AC sine-wave; when this happens, the residual EMF induces a high voltage surge that destroys starting capacitors. At turn ON, sometimes sparking weld the contacts and the motor runs continuously until it burns.

Pumptron does not contain relays. The switching is done electronically at the zero crossing volt of the AC so the capacitors never receive a high surge and there are no contacts that could weld.

“Ideal for pressure installations”

CURRENT SIGNAL CONVERTER

A special electronic circuit converts the current signals from the motor in a way that always operates accurately regardless of motor size.

“Very High Stability”

ELECTRICAL ISOLATION

The switching commands from the 12 Volts logic circuit to the high power 240 / 415 Volts is done by an Infrared Light Beam.

“No electric contacts” – “Safe to operate”

DETECTION OF MAINS SURGES

Discriminates between power fast surges and major voltage fluctuations.

“No unnecessary starts and stops”

REPETITIVE SWITCHING DETECTION

If a pressure switch becomes faulty and causes repetitive switching, Pumptron stops the pump and passes the command to the water recovery timer. When time lapses it starts again but it stops if the condition persists.

“Lack of water indicates the fault”

STARTING PEAK CURRENT DETECTOR

If at start the initial peak current has increased from the normal level, Pumptron reports overload and stays standby.

“Indication of sediments or iron oxide accumulation ”
