OWNER's TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Thank you and congratulations on the purchase of Pumptron,
the most advanced device for protection and control of
submersible pumps.
Pumptron monitors and analyses everything that can happen on
a bore installation, however not always the end user can
interpret the indications correctly. Following is a list of
common occurrences that will help pinpoint a problem
whenever it happens.
Things to remember: The timer always run except when the
tank is full or when the pump is running.
Under any abnormality detected, never readjust the sensor
screw; doing so may damage the pump and will void the
warranty. |
SYMPTOMS |
CAUSES |
WHAT TO DO |
The pump stoped as if there was no
water but the bore is full.
When pressing the reset button “Overload Standby” red light
flashes; sometimes it restart but stops again. |
The pump has accumulated sediments or
sand in the impellers and water flow is restricted so
Pumptron stops the pump. Either pressing the reset button or
at the end of the timer period, at starting, Pumptron finds
it too heavy to start and places the system on “Overload
Standby” |
Call for service. It is time to clean
the pump and bore with a chemical solution. A technician
will do the work properly and professionally. Pumptron is
warning of the malfunction before any damage occurs to the
pump. |

yellow light for ten seconds but the green light does not
turn ON. Water does not flow.
Same thing happens at the end of the timer period. |
A tank level sensing device such as a float switch or
pressure switch or telemetry system, etc, has failed.
There may be an electrical problem between Pumptron and the
pump. |
Do not attempt fixing anything yourself.
